Community Projects to Support!

1. Columbus St. Water Tower Restoration
For almost 100 years, the Columbus Street water tower served this community by providing a safe and sanitary source of water to all of us; rich and poor alike.
The Sun Prairie Historical Library & Museum is appealing to residents to finance the restoration of the Columbus Street water tower.
Your tax deductible donation can be made payable to City of Sun Prairie Water Tower Fund, and mailed to the Sun Prairie Historical Library & Museum, 300 East Main Street.
For more information, please call the museum at 837-2915

2. Sun Prairie Skate Park 600 S. Bird St
The Sun Prairie Skate Park Committee plans on creating a revitalized skate park that will meet the needs of skateboarders, inline skaters, BMX bikes and more. The committee is currently in the process of planning and raising funds for an addition that will add nearly 8,000 square feet to the existing park. For more information please visit: Sun Prairie Skate Park Website

3. Sun Prairie Museum Photo and Artifact Project
Would you like to donate items for the Museum’s collections?
Do you have any old photographs, household items or artifacts from the Sun Prairie Creamery, Porcelain Plant or Canning Factory?
They are also looking for memories or stories about them. Generations of local residents worked in these companies and they had a considerable influence upon the community in their day.
They are also interested in photos of family activities.
Donate materials by calling 837-2915 or by Email. Call them to schedule an appointment.
Items can also be left at the Chamber of Commerce or at the main desk of the Municipal Building in case the museum is closed.
Your name and telephone number must be left with the item.
