Time is Running Out!

Wisconsin Covenant is currently enrolling Freshmen until September 30, 2010.
Please note: 2010/11 eighth graders can begin enrolling later this fall.

In January of 2006, Governor Jim Doyle introduced the Wisconsin Covenant, a program created to inspire young people to plan early for a successful high-school career that will lead to higher education. Eighth and Ninth graders in Wisconsin are invited to sign the Wisconsin Covenant Pledge, a promise that they will:

  • Earn a high-school diploma.
  • Maintain at least a “B” average in high school.
  • Complete the classes they need to prepare them for higher education.
  • Demonstrate good citizenship and participate in their community.
  • Apply for state and federal financial aid in a timely manner.
  • Take the necessary steps to gain admission to a University of Wisconsin System institution, a Wisconsin Technical College, and/or a Wisconsin private college or university.

In return for meeting these goals and keeping the pledge, a Wisconsin Covenant Student will be recognized as a Wisconsin Covenant Scholar, earn a place within their partnered systems of higher education, and receive a financial aid package, based on their family’s financial need, to help make college affordable.

The unique partnership represents the support of the State, our K-12 schools, public and private university and technical college systems, and the community all working together to help students do their best.

Kids 4 Auditions

KIDS 4 AUDITIONS
Does your child have dramatic/creative flair?
Do they enjoy writing, acting or working with a video camera?
Then they should audition to be a KIDS-4 crewmember.
Any Sun Prairie child, fourth-eighth grade, is eligible.

KIDS-4 is a unique station because it is the only cable access TV station in the United States set up solely to be for kids and by kids.
KIDS-4 crewmembers learn how to use all the equipment: cameras, soundboard, and editing equipment as well as learning the various roles of director, camera, talent, and writer.
Kids who have gone through KIDS-4 have improved their confidence and self-esteem and have found these skills to benefit them in all other aspects of their lives.

This is a great opportunity you don’t want to miss out on. There are only 30 spots left.
Auditions for the 2010-2011 school year are scheduled for Monday, Sept. 13, and Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 3:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Call KIDS-4 at 837-4193 to schedule an audition time or to learn more about KIDS-4.
